Campers who used tarps to protect their campgrounds remained for a week or two and had a nice time. ALL CAMPERS who did not use tarps to cover their tents were washed out and humiliated. My tent has now been in service for eleven years. It was 28 degrees and raining for 12 hours when I had it. Given the horizontal downpour and 50 mph gusts, it leaked surprisingly little. I didn't have a tarp that covered the whole tent. That night, I could still sleep in it, and all of my bedding and clothes were good. This tent is excellent, particularly considering the price. It's been well tested throughout the years, and I'd purchase it again.

This Ozark Trail 8-Person Modified Dome Tent with Rear Window is ideal for your next outdoor vacation. It's simple to assemble and composed of high-quality, weather-resistant material. This Ozark Trail camping tent has five extra-large windows for excellent ventilation and a mesh canopy for nighttime stargazing. It also has a front mud flap to keep your inside space clean and a moveable center room divider that allows you to split your living space into two independent areas or leave it open as one. The Ozark Trail 8-Person Modified Dome Tent also includes two front doors for convenient escape or access to each chamber, as well as built-in storage compartments for your possessions to keep them dry and safe. An extensible carry bag is an easy way to move and store items.

This was a wonderful purchase. This tent was bought for a backyard camp that I put up in my backyard for my nephew and GodKids. It's rather huge; we could all stand in it and there was plenty of room for everyone. The compartments on the interior of the tent are fantastic. There are parts for partitioning the room into three sections for seclusion; we did not use them, but they are available and I feel they would work well. We struggled at first to set up the tent but soon found that the instruction booklet was printed on the storage bag itself. Those instructions make it so simple. It was simple to erect, however I was waiting for a supplemental directions page. We got an unexpected hail and wind storm, as shown in one of the photos. During the storm, the tent remained dry and sturdy. Excellent purchase. I strongly advise.

This tent has a distinctive crisscross design for added structural strength. The vestibule space of this dome camping tent is extra-large for storing gear, shoes, and other necessities. It also has a separate sleeping area with a queen-size airbed or four sleeping bags. It also has two doors, one in the front and one in the back, with zipper closures and two windows that allow air to pass through it. This tent also has an E-port for running an electrical wire to charge devices. A gear loft and storage pocket are provided to keep small stuff accessible and your tent neat and clean. For easy transport and storage, the Ozark Trail Four-Person Dome Tent with Vestibule and Full Coverage Fly comes with a carry bag.

Then I attempted closing the door (the damaged zipper is for the pass-through pouch where you're meant to put your dirty shoes... to keep the interior of the tent cleaner). The zipper was sticky, and the effort necessary to close/open it threatened to shred the cloth. To generate enough tension around the zip route to close or open it, I had to hold onto the cloth. I lubricated the zip, which helped a little, but it still snags every 8 inches or so. Four strikes. And a big hit, since the entrance is one of the tent's most vital features. Finally, I tried threading an electric fan cable through the access hole. Unlike other tents, this one's access hole isn't even sealable (velcro...). It's basically a large, loose hole with some stitching reinforcement. I can already see the fragile cloth tearing if we use it often. Easily. Worse, since it's a large hole, flying insects may easily enter the tent via it. Massive flop. Five strikes.

To begin, place the tent body on the ground flat. The tent's corners may then be staked out using the stakes that come with it. As a consequence, while you put up the tent, it will stay motionless. After that, place the poles into the sleeves on top of the tent body. The poles may then be lowered toward the corner and secured with the ring pin.

It rained a couple of nights, but just a little moisture got in, and it looks like where the zippers connect.

We had severe gusts one night that tried to drive the tent flat; the poles stretched a lot but didn't break. More connection points may have prevented the tent from collapsing so much in the wind. However, it was better than I anticipated for the price.

You've got to appreciate this Ozark Trail tent's Instant design; take it out of the bag and pitch it in just 2 minutes. The pre-assembled frame simply snaps together, pulls tight, and erects the tent in seconds. In this review, we will discuss what we discovered about the Ozark Trail 3 person tent. Ozark Trail 3 Person Dome Tent Highlights

I previously had an Ozark Trail 4 man tent, which I loved and used for many years. I bought a 6 man tent this past Friday to go camping with my family on the mountain and loved the style of the tent and the canopy on it, but we were missing one of the canopy pole sections and then went to bed Sunday evening to be awoken by rain coming through the tent and getting us and everything else wet. So we hurriedly removed all of our things from the tent and slept in our car (not enjoyable) until we awoke to find pools of water in the tent. The tent was returned to Wal-Mart the following day for a refund, but it absolutely wrecked the weekend, and several of us now have colds to deal with. I believe the tents are not of the same quality as the earlier tents. I would urge that you resume constructing tents like you have in the past, and I'd love to have another tent if I knew I wouldn't wake up to rain.

The tent floor is not of the same quality as that of a Coleman or other non-Northpole tent. It's produced inexpensively and looks like a wax-coated tarp. The covering actually peels off after getting saturated, leaving an almost transparent tarp with little weather protection. It also punctures easily. I used Seam Sealer 3 to repair the puncture hole, and it worked well. The rain fly on this tent does not seem to be sealed or TAPED like all other types I've seen. Don't be fooled by the Northpole's GoBeDry moniker; it's garbage. The floor has two major seams at the bottom, rendering the tub floor worthless. The floor leaks at the bottom seams, also known as inverted seams and seamedlocked. Even after I seam sealed them, it seemed like water was being pulled in! Naturally, there were pools of water beneath the tent after certain thunderstorms.

The tent is simple to erect. It took about a minute with one individual and was rather intuitive. However, one of the locking buttons that appears when you extend the support pole to lock it did not snap into position. Chinese quality manufacture disappointed but did not surprise me. I was able to get it to function by prying up the lock with a little screwdriver, but this is a nuisance, particularly if I don't have a screwdriver around. I'm debating whether to go to the trouble of exchanging it. The tent works well once the pole is fastened. I could easily accommodate two double air mattresses and sleep maybe three kids plus an adult, or maybe wife and kids, but I haven't done it yet. I simply wanted a tent for the kids that I could quickly put up in the backyard since we have a full family size Coleman that works wonderfully for camping but takes a long time to set up.
