The Mariners owed the first of two futures contracts to the South Carolina Stingrays for the transaction that brought forward Cam Askew to Maine in September. The rights to defender Brendan St-Louis were transferred to the Stingrays as part of the trade. St-Louis has three assists in 29 games with the Mariners in his first season in 2021-22.
