The BMI is a statistic used to assess a person's health. A man's BMI is lower than that of a six-foot-tall woman if he is fat. The body mass index (BMI) is a measurement of a man's weight. A six-foot-tall guy should weigh between 200 and 300 pounds in a typical weight range.

Sure. If you haven't been lifting, drinking enough water, and eating junk food, you will lose muscle and gain weight. That's what happens to males, and the alcohol ends up in the belly for a variety of reasons. You didn't indicate how old you are, so it's difficult to determine whether you're genetically unlucky or have just eaten too much. At your height, I've been all over the place in terms of weight and body fat percentage. Was 185 lbs and soft in high school, then dropped to 170 lbs and lean playing sports freshman year and remained there until the summer of sophomore year. I gained 45 pounds of fat throughout the summer and off-season in the spring, reached 220 pounds and looked like garbage, and remained there for the most of junior year (my worst season in sports too not surprisingly). I lost 30 pounds before my senior year and was a beautiful lean 190 for a while. I started drinking moderately in graduate school, and I'm now 215 pounds and overweight. Then I began lifting and dieting, losing fat and gaining muscle, and today I'm 230 pounds and lean.

However, according to Don Saladino, a New York City trainer famed for shaping the bodies of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, a person's weight does not truly represent their level of fitness.

Hello, Rob! Long-time reader, first-time sender (oh, another LTRFTS)! I saw you didn't have a height-weight chart item for my category yet, so I thought I'd share some photos.:) I'm not quite 5'2", but I'm so close that I may as well be (certainly closer to 5'2" than 5'1"), and I weigh exactly 180 pounds right now. I'm a lover of the Japanese subculture fashion known as "lolita" or "gothic lolita," and I'm wearing one of my costumes in these images. Many people believe that only ladies with a certain body type (short and slim) should be able to appreciate and wear this style of clothes, but I've discovered that women (and men!) of all shapes and sizes can look wonderful in the proper costumes. One picture is the necessary front image, while the other is a supplementary not-quite-front, not-quite-side shot. Eryn

I'm 19 years old. I've been working out on and off for almost a year...but I never stuck to my exercise plan and I never stuck to my food plan... That's why I'm just 6 feet tall and 140 pounds. *Very skinny* grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Anyway, I began eating appropriately (2000+ healthy calories per day, and 140-180 grams of protein per day) and worked out hard a few days ago! I'm committed now, so this will be my before photo. I am aware that I am quite thin. Do I even look 140 pounds at 6 feet? My scale shifts; I step on it and it says 137, then I stand on it again and it says 140. So I may need to get a new scale... Anyway, I'd want to know the truth about this picture: do I have potential with my body, and do I look 140 pounds or less? As previously said, my scale shifts every time I step on it. Thanks If my weight is right, which it very well might be...my objective is to be around 165ish.

The height/weight chart is a great concept, since it's difficult to obtain a clear impression of what individuals of different weights look like through conventional media sources alone.

Hello, My name is Jennifer, and I am fascinated by your height and weight experiment. Everyone, in my view, has a distinct body type, thus their weight and look will vary. I am 5'6" and 195 pounds in the accompanying photo. However, in "guess my weight" games, the correct answer is 170 90% of the time.
